Two children sit on a book, flying over a Middle Eastern looking city with fantastical images like dragons and rockets in the sky.

Arabian Nights

Originally designed as concept art for a mural, this Arabian Nights-themed work shows two children riding on the pages of a book as they fly over beautiful palaces, as dragons and rocket ships soar through the sky ahead of them.

Lovely woman with enigmatic smile wears a blue headscarf and elaborate gold jewelry.

Muslim Lady

This beautiful lady was spotted in a portrait on the wall of a beloved Kansas City-area Palestinian restaurant. She was so mesmerizing that I had to create my own version.

A sketchy, colorful illustration of SpongeBob SquarePants

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

This was a gift to a young family member who absolutely adores SpongeBob SquarePants. The real gift, of course, was taking her to meet Tom Kenny and getting the original piece signed!

I Always Wanted to Learn Ballet

The graceful Wilma arabesques her way into our hearts. Is this an arabesque? Well, I did say I WANTED to be a ballerina, not that I AM a ballerina. This image was originally designed to accompany a November 2024 Diary of a White Rabbit blog post.

A house stands upon chicken legs, with a shadowy figure nearby. Four black houses rise out of the mists.

Baba Yaga

This was inspired by “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky. When I was a child, a teacher introduced me to the legend of Baba Yaga with this music and I've been obsessed ever since.

A doll-like figure sits despondently in a high chair, while a cute horse asks her, "Is everything hunky dory, Lady Badberry?"

Lady Badberry

This mixed media piece was inspired by an amusing photograph of a family member, which in turn inspired an entire idea for a comic book series based on the adventures of Lady Badberry. The comic is currently in progress.

Shakespeare holds a feathered quill, with open books around him, as his most famous characters dance upon the pages.

Awake, dear heart, awake!

Originally created as a concept for a mural, this mixed media piece depicts Shakespeare as his mind creates his famous characters. He delicately holds his feathered quill as the characters rise from the pages and begin to perform.

Wilma, dressed in purple, dances to the smooth sounds of jazz.

Wilma Loves Jazz

My original character, Wilma, listens to her favorite jazz band.

The Mediterranean Table

This illustration was created to thank the owner of my favorite restaurant in the world, The Mediterranean Table in Pittsburgh, PA. In December 2024, I drew a quick sketch of the owner, who had served me the most amazing lunch I'd ever eaten. When I returned to the restaurant in June 2025, not only did he remember me and my art (and have the sketch hanging on his wall) but he provided more amazing food, desserts, and drinks.
